Welcome To Miss Gangl's Latin Class!

Hi, my name is Miss Gangl.  I am the Latin teacher here at Huron Academy and I am very excited for the school year to begin.  I am looking forward to meeting all of our new families and students.  I recently graduated from Baker College with honors and a degree in elementary education majoring in language arts.  I am ecstatic to be starting my second year teaching at Huron Academy.  In my free time I enjoy traveling, outdoor activities, spending time with family and friends, and working on our first home with my finacee.

During your students time in my classroom they will be working on the Rosetta Stone program, engaging in an assortment of Latin games and a variety of Latin activities.  All of this will allow your student to learn the Latin language in a fun and interactive classroom.  I believe in creating an exciting, safe and organized learning environment for my students in which every student strives to reach their full potential.

For kindergarten and first grade the students will learn vocabulary from the beginning lessons of the Rosetta Stone program.  They will then engage in games and activities to strengthen their Latin vocabulary skills.

For second through sixth grade the students will navigate through the Rosetta Stone lessons independently.  They will then play games and engage in activities in order to strengthen the vocabulary that they have learned.
